Kitchen Fire in Cheektowaga, NY

A kitchen fire can start very quickly and can be very be devastating.  This fire started on the stove top when a pan of grease erupted into a ball of flame.  Cooking causes over 150,000 fires a year.  The flames reached the cabinets and started them on fire.  The family dialed 911 and used some baking soda to smother the fire before the fire department arrived.  The fire department always recommends to get out fast.  Occupants should leave as soon as they can to prevent injury or loss of life.  The soot spread through out the home requiring a very detailed top to bottom cleaning. The homeowner was displaced and had to stay at a hotel. The cleaning took 2 days and the customer couldn't be happier to be back home.
